We began where a Danish contractor left off.
Triways was formed on 5 January 2003 by directors who had been senior executives at Hojgaard & Schultz, the Danish contractor behind some of the largest government construction projects in the Maldives.
Managing Director Ali Mufeed ran the Hojgaard & Schultz Maldives office as Operations Executive across the Fuvahmulah Harbour and Addu Link Road projects. The company was founded to carry that experience into its own contracts under licence C-05/2003.

Two international ports, one local agent.
Wakachiku Construction of Japan built the regional ports at Hithadhoo and Kulhudhuffushi for the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation. On both, Triways was their appointed local agent in the Maldives.

Hulhumalé Road, Stage I.
Italian-Thai Development of Thailand appointed Triways as their shipping agency and customs clearance agency in February 2003, for the Hulhumalé Development Unit contract.
On completion of Stage I, the contractor commended Triways for the work carried out.

A harbour, and the country’s first tarmac road.
Both were delivered by Hojgaard & Schultz for the Maldivian government, with Ali Mufeed as Operations Executive in charge of the contractor’s office in the Maldives.

The first tarmac road project in the Maldives, running 13 km from Gan to Hithadhoo. Ali Mufeed was Operations Executive in charge of the contractor's Maldives office.
